V.C.Your analysis of the issue of national language

Your view on The National Language in New Zealand is not clear to me .Is it the English language or the Maori language as the ntional language? I think as the country is a multi cultural one ,due to migration of many a people from many a country ,English is the national and also official language in New Zealand . As Maori people are the natives of New Zealand, the declaration of the authorities is appropriate to Maori people to recognise their mother tongue as official language on par with English. I think Sign language is also another one to take into consideration
